GS Flex™ Installation Instructions For Recessed and Flush Mount Applications

Step 1: GS Flex "A" piece on outside corner of recessed opening on top of bibb.

Step 2: GS Flex "A" and "B" pieces layered together to protect the inside and outside corners.
Note: the framing in this photo doesn't have a slope. If a slope is expected, then the GS 100 B piece must be used as the inside corner.

Step 3: Waterproof membrane layered on top of GS Flex "A" and "B" pieces.

Step 4: A well flashed recessed opening. Next is additional layers of flashing materials necessary to set the window and protect the recessed flashing.

Step 1: GS Flex "A" corner piece is applied on top of framing sill and lower flashing.

Step 2: Water proof membrane is applied on top of the GS Flex Corners.

Step 3: GS Flex "A" corner piece is applied on top of the rough opening to provide protection and keep the window plumb.

Step 4: Side flashing is layered on top of the GS Flex "A" corner pieces.

Step 5: Window installed and properly sealed.

Step 5a: Window installed and properly sealed.

Step 6: Inside pan termination with 90 degree metal or simply use sealant.

Step 7: Inside pan termination with 90 degree metal or simply use sealant.
